Liverpool’s Ketamine Action Plan was launched to address increasing concerns about ketamine use and the risks it poses to young people across the city.
Safeguarding and wellbeing remain at the heart of everything we do, and we are proud to stand alongside education, health and safeguarding partners in raising awareness and helping keep our communities safe.
You can read the full Ketamine Action Plan below:
As part of the city-wide initiative to raise awareness and prevent harm, we are sharing information to help parents and carers:
- Understand the risks and potential harms associated with ketamine use
- Recognise possible signs that a young person may need support
- Know where to access help and advice if needed
We would also like to highlight a local support service available to families:
River is a free and confidential community drug and alcohol service that supports people of all ages and their families who may be experiencing difficulties with substances. They can provide advice, guidance, and access to further support where necessary.
We encourage you to take time to read the attached information sheet and to have open,
age-appropriate conversations with your child about this topic.
