
World Suicide Prevention Day
Friday 9 September
Mark the launch of the new Suicide Prevention Strategy for Cheshire and Merseyside.
The theme for World Suicide Prevention Day 2022 is ‘Creating hope through action’; delegates will have the opportunity to hear from a range of speakers, including those with lived experiences of suicide and self-harm.
Health inequalities, self-harm, children and young people and men’s emotional wellbeing are all on the agenda and a question and answer session with all speakers will be offered.
Who is invited?
This event is open to anyone who works across the public, the private and third sectors in Cheshire and Merseyside who has a specific interest in suicide prevention.

Unpaid Carers Celebration
Thursday 15 September
A free celebration event for our amazing unpaid carers will be held from 12pm – 3pm on Thursday 15 September at the Liver Building, Liverpool Waterfront, Liverpool, L3 1HU.
Please come along and join us for an afternoon celebration and for the opportunity to hear about the exciting developments within Merse Care’s new Carers Strategy! There will be a welcome drink and afternoon tea for all carers.

World Mental Health Day
Monday 10 October
The official theme is ‘Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority’, and the Liverpool CAMHS Partners have a programme of fun events and inspiring activities for schools to get involved with.

Now Festival 2023
7 – 9 February
Merseyside Youth Association’s RAISE Team will be hosting their 8th annual NOW Festival at the Epstein Theatre on the 7th, 8th and 9th of February. The theme for 2023 will be mental health and violence prevention.
Professionals working with children and young people are invited to the 2023 launch night on 15th September, 4-5.30 pm at Merseyside Youth Association, to find out more about the event, and how you can get involved.
