On Friday 10 February 2023, Perception Theatre visited New Heights Key Stage 3 to perform their latest production – ‘GRASS’.
Proudly funded by Merseyside VRP and delivered in partnership with Evolving Mindset CIC, GRASS, is an applied theatre production that explores ‘grassing’ and ‘snitching’ culture.
The production addresses the importance of a moral compass when it comes to reporting seriously violent crime and how someone’s involvement in a seriously violent crime can impact their mental health ‘GRASS’ was written by Perception Theatre.
The story was co-developed with young people across Merseyside, including students from New Heights Key Stage 3. Their input has heavily influenced the narrative, themes and issues covered within the production.
The performance provided the students at New Heights Key Stage 3 with the opportunity to watch a theatre production that has given them an opportunity to think about and reflect, on the themes of the performance and their own moral compass.
