Curriculum Statement

Here at New Heights, we strive to ensure that our students make academic progress in all subjects through our broad and balanced curriculum offer. Our ‘step by step’ approach towards differentiation supports student development in academic, creative, physical and practical subjects, with the collective aim of ensuring successful re-engagement back into mainstream, wherever possible.

We support students in helping them to re-engage with work, rediscover their self-belief and grow together in an environment based on mutual respect, trust, good humour and positive relationships.

We encourage the development of strong personal morals and an appreciation for both British and world cultures. In our emotionally-friendly setting, we are committed to helping our students build personal empowerment, resilience, self-control and emotional awareness. Importantly, we strive to help our students to appreciate that it’s OK not to be OK!
