Healthy Schools, Liverpool
At New Heights School we encourage all our students to adopt healthy lifestyles.
We deliver physical activity each week. Alongside this we provide water for the students to drink in class and free fruit as part of our healthy hot lunch prepared in our own kitchens.
We work closely with a variety of agencies to deliver health messages as part of our curriculum.
We have received the Healthy Schools Award.
All school meals at New Heights School are produced ‘in-house’; that is to say, we employ our own catering team who provide a wide selection of delicious, healthy and nutritious meals from locally sourced fresh produce.
The school is in partnership with Food for Thought, a not-for-profit healthy school meals caterer, which is owned and managed by its partner schools, with any surplus created being re-invested in local community schools.
