October, schools and communities come together to celebrate ADHD Awareness Month. ADHD stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It is a condition that affects how a person focuses, organises tasks, and controls energy and impulses. People with ADHD can be very creative, energetic, and good at thinking in new ways — but they may also face challenges with attention and self-control.
ADHD Awareness Month is a time to learn more about ADHD, to understand what it feels like for those who have it, and to support each other. It helps reduce misunderstandings and makes our school a kinder, more welcoming place for everyone. Together, we can celebrate differences and make sure every student has the support they need to succeed.
