Christmas Tree Competition

Christmas has arrived at New Heights Fazakerley! Today saw us celebrate by having our traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Table clothes, napkins and a 2-course lunch were the order of the day, and we were spoilt by our fabulous catering staff with 3 types of meat and every type of vegetable you can imagine… and I haven’t even mentioned the Yorkshire puds, pigs in blankets and stuffing!

After a proper good fill it was time to judge our inaugural Christmas tree competition, and the standards set were high! This years’ theme was Countries around the world. As you can imagine given the nationality of our Head of School, 1 team had Australia. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an upside down tree, until today.

There were some great shows of ingenuity and creation and all students and teachers who participated enjoyed being part of a team and creating something unique. Well done to all who took part. The winners were Class 6 – Germany. Their tree was creative, detailed and very much a whole class effort. Well done to you all. (I promise you didn’t win because you had Jürgen Klopp as the fairy on top of the tree, but it did help!)
